Public comment sought on proposed Amendment
to Louisiana CIAP Plan

BATON ROUGE -- Louisiana and its coastal parishes have proposed to amend the current Louisiana Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP) Plan approved in September 2010. The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana is holding a 30-day comment period beginning today, October 5, 2011, and ending on November 5, 2011, to provide an opportunity for public involvement in the process of amending the State CIAP plan. All comments received during this period will be documented in an appendix and included in the Louisiana State CIAP Plan to be submitted to the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service for approval. The draft of the proposed amendment to the CIAP Plan and the associated appendices have been posted online at coastal.louisiana.gov.

Comments are due no later than November 5, 2011 and can be submitted to the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority of Louisiana via email, fax, or regular mail at either of the following:
